Have you won a Georgia Lottery prize? Congratulations! Here's what you need to do to correctly claim your win.
First, sign and print your name on the back of your ticket and store it in a safe place until you're ready to claim.
It's also good practice to make a copy or take a photo of both sides of the ticket after you sign it.
Prizes of $600 or under may be claimed at any of the state's over 8,700 official retailers, a Lottery office, or by mail.
If you purchased your ticket with cash at a retailer, you'll need the ticket, proof of current address, and your social security card to claim.
If you played online using the Georgia Lottery's website or app, your prize will be paid automatically to your online account.
Prizes of more than $600 must be claimed at Georgia Lottery Headquarters in Atlanta or any Lottery district office, or by mail. This is regardless of whether they were purchased at a retailer or online.
You must complete a Winner Claim Form and present two forms of valid ID when you claim, as well as the completed ticket. Identification must include photo ID with the winner's name and signature and a document showing the winner's Social Security Number. Preferred forms of ID are a valid driver's license and a Social Security card.
